MaptIQ Consulting Ltd. is a dynamically growing company started in 2019. Our founders have long experience in spatial registry and analysis systems and their neighbouring fields: cartography, remote sensing and data warehouses.

Small team, senior people, open tools

We are deliberately a small team. The people who sell and design a system are the ones who build and review it, and who pick up the phone later.

We build on free and open source geospatial software because it keeps our clients independent and lets us fix, tune and audit the whole stack. Where we can, we give back: bug reports, patches and knowledge.

Where we come from

Founders of SURVIOT

Before MaptIQ grew into a full GIS developer and service provider, we built SURVIOT: a platform that collects sensor data from tunnels and bridges around the clock and turns it into live, shared information for engineers. We started it in 2020 on the M85 motorway tunnel in Sopron, and when SURVIOT Monitoring Ltd. was founded in 2022 we transferred the intellectual property to it. The product now has its own company, team and customers.

That experience shaped how MaptIQ works: always-on data pipelines, many users on the same live data, alerting, and operations that do not depend on one person. See surviot.com.
